Daddy-O

This post is quite late, but on January 9th, my dad was ordained a high priest. Usually they only do this when you receive a calling that requires it, but since his calling is the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, he is not allowed to have big callings in the ward. As a result, our stake president felt it was fitting that he be ordained because he is worthy of such callings. I was so grateful for the opportunity to go home and be there for him for this special occasion. My grandpa, his dad, passed away almost 14 years ago. It is kind of tradition to pass down the line of priesthood so my Uncle Doug ordained my dad so they could have the same line through our Grandpa, it was really neat. The blessings that come from having the priesthood in the home are so apparent in my life and it is something that I miss so much while living with all girls at my apartment. We are blessed with great home teachers that I know would be there in a heartbeat for us, but I am always just so grateful for a father who has always been worthy to hold the priesthood and has exemplified it. He is an incredible man and I love him so much.
