California!!
We were going to leave on Wednesday when I got off of work but that didn’t happen til almost ten, and the weather in Southern Utah was awful. So instead of driving and spending the night in St. George, we wound up sleeping at my apartment and then we left at six o’clock the next morning. We made good time to St. George. There was lots of snow on the ground from the storm over night, but the roads were clear so that was nice. We stopped to see my sister Vicki because it was my last chance to see her before her baby is due (which yes, she can pop at any moment now). It was nice to stretch and spend some time with her. Then we continued on to California and made great time. I drove the whole way because I drive a stick shift and Froot doesn’t know how, but I made it just fine. We sang pretty much the whole way and once we hit the Cali freeways (which I actually enjoy driving on) we sang "California, Here We Come" (or whatever it is called) a million times at the TOP of our lungs. We got to the hotel around 4pm Cali time, so we had plenty of time to play. We went to Trader Joes, such a great store. I got almost seventy dollars worth of groceries while I was on vacation. Don’t worry, most of it was cookies. But I got my favorite pastas and dressings that you can't get at normal stores. And some other new fun foods to try. It is well known for liquor, which is probably why they don’t have any in Utah I guess, but the rest of their food is really healthy stuff, and it isn’t way overpriced like most health foods stores. And it has great food like Joe-joe's, cherry cider, the healthiest pasta I've ever found, great produce, etc.
After Trader Joe’s we headed down to Huntington Beach. Our hotel was literally less than 8 miles, straight shot to the beach, it was wonderful!! We just kicked it for a bit so that we could watch the sunset over the ocean. It was so beautiful. I wonder if it is that pretty every night.Well worth our time and tangled hair from the wind blowing so hard on the beach.
Then we went to Downtown Disney and wandered through some of the fun stores and looked for a fun restaurant to eat at, but Froot is a picky eater and didn’t like anything on any of the menus. We were pretty tired by this point so we wound up going back to the hotel and getting Jack-in-the-Box.
The following morning, we woke up early, got ready, ate breakfast, and headed out to DISNEYLAND!! I haven’t been to Disneyland since spring of my senior year of high shool and Froot hadn’t been since the 5th grade, she had never even been to California Adventure. We got there and rode the tram over to the park. We just got a ticket for Disneyland because we didn’t know if we’d have time for everything in both parks. As soon as we got there we went on Indiana Jones, my all time fave!! We didn’t wait in line for any of the first few rides and then after that the longest line we waited in was 20 minutes…not bad at all. We wound up finishing everything in Disneyland by 4 pm so we upgraded our passes to go to California Adventure. We went on everything there by 6:30 so we just played the rest of the night.

Rain Boots
- I like to think they are cute and spunky
- My feet stay oh so very dry in them
- They aren't limited to rain, they are great for snowy activities too
- My jeans are not wet for hours after walking to class
- I can walk through any puddle and not get wet
- They don't get dirty. The only pair of white shoes that won't get dirty
- They make me want to go out and dance in the rain
