Mile Markers

Sheesh!!! It's been a while!!

There has been lots going on since I last blogged, clearly, I missed the holiday portion of blogging, hopefully I can go back and fix that, in the meantime, here is an update of why it's been so busy.
The day after Christmas I traveled to California to see Brock and his family. We took our engagement pictures, hung out and flew back. It was a super short trip but still productive and lots of fun.

Two days later, we drove to St. George for a day for the blessing of Baby Emma. She is such a cute little baby. We babysat her for an hour and she cried for a straight 45 minutes of that. Like, screamed. Poor thing. After the blessing we drove back up to Salt Lake.

Two days after that, we took off to Rexburg. We drove up on Tuesday Jan 3, got him all settled in at his cousins' house and then the following morning I dropped him off at class and came back to Utah. On that drive I had no idea what was in store, I still don't know if I really do.

Two days after that, Brock drove back down to Utah. His cousins offered to pay the gas and let him bring their truck if he'd pick up a freezer for them and a bookshelf from Ikea. He left and drove back to Rexburg on Sunday, that was a lot harder than leaving him for just two days.

We didn't see each other all week and then I drove up here last night since I have the holiday weekend off and he doesn't have school.

So, there you have it, lots of traveling back and forth going on!! Looks like that's how it will be for the next few months while we are living in separate states. Let me give a word of advice to any future engaged people....don't do long distance. It has only been a week and a half and I already hate it. But, if you have to do it, just try to take it one day at a time and be patient.

And learn to love the mile markers that countdown getting closer to the one you love.

Hang in there Madz, long distance is great for communication though, because that's really all you CAN do.

Awe, this made me so sad!!! I hope that the next few months go by quickly for you and that you get to spend enough weekends together! Don't forget to take lots of pictures when you do get to see each other!!
