Confession: I love my rain boots. L-O-V-E them. I got them over the winter so they have only been associated with cold thus far. However, today I got to wear them and no coat was necessary. I passed a girl on my way to class in a small pair of flip-flops and pitied her. Now don't get me wrong, I live my life in flip-flops whenever I can, but today, I pitied her. Her feet were wet, sliding around in slippery wet shoes, her toes were cold, she had to find ways to walk around puddles, the hem of her pants were soaked and by the time she gets home, her feet will be very dirty with flip-flop mud lines. This made me think how much I love these boots. These are some reasons why.
- I like to think they are cute and spunky
- My feet stay oh so very dry in them
- They aren't limited to rain, they are great for snowy activities too
- My jeans are not wet for hours after walking to class
- I can walk through any puddle and not get wet
- They don't get dirty. The only pair of white shoes that won't get dirty
- They make me want to go out and dance in the rain
Moral of the story: If you do not own a pair of rainboots...buy some. Completely worth the $25 I spent on them.
Frolicking in my rainboots
Today is just such a beautiful rainy day. It's not cold, and it's not a full-on down poor, but just a constant rainfall with fabulous gray skies. It smells like spring and the colors are all so vibrant in this rain. I couldn't help but lay in bed a little longer than necessary this morning to gaze out my window and listen to the rainfall and smell the fresh air gently blowing into my bedroom.
Deep thoughts on a rainy day

Aren't you the little optimistic soul on such a rainy day! I love rainy days too, but I also enjoy a nice sunny day as long as it doesn't get too hot. I was almost that poor girl wearing flip flops until I stepped out the front door this morning. I love the enthusiasm! Today must be your day off from work or something lol
A note to the wise: Jumping in puddles will splash water higher than the top of your boots. But sometimes it's still worth it.
I'm so jealous and you are so lucky! It never rains here so... probably wouldn't be wise for me to buy rainboots just yet.
