Daddy Daughter Date

Tonight I got to do something I haven't done in AGES. I got to go on a date with my dad. When we were younger he would take the girls on "Daddy-daughter dates". They were a special treat and still are. Mom is in St. George with Vicki and the baby and I got off work at 5:30, so I came up to Murray and dad and I went and saw Ironman 2. Ummm....so good. I loved it. I came to the conclusion that AC/DC and Ironmand were just born for each other. It was wonderful. It was so fun to just spend some time with my dad though. We got to the theater way early so we bought dinner and as we walked towards our theater, we saw a girl about my age playing the violin. We couldn't go into the theater yet so we sat in the commons and ate and listened to the violin player and played the "name that tune" game and just enjoyed each other's company. He walked over to the violinist and gave her a tip and then told me that he doesn't mind tipping somebody like that when they are sharing their talents in a nice way, not a bum on the corner. What an example he is to see something good and appreciate it for what it is.

I am so grateful for such a wonderful father that is always there for me and that teaches me so much. He has been such huge influence in everything in my life from learning how to do my hair, to encouraging me in school, inspiring my appreciation for music and for not only teaching me, but showing me how to be a good person. I love him so much and I am so thankful for all he has done for me in my life.

I think it's so cute that you were able to go on a daddy daughter date! I love those! I just think the date would have been much better if you ended it by looking at the stars and planets through your dads awesome telescope! Lol
