Good news!! (To be sung as they do in "Wicked") Today was wonderful. First of all, a few of you have expressed some concern regarding recent posts, they are a little more down than usual, but everything is okay, I assure you. I was reading a book for a class at the gym and there was a quote from Ludwig van Beethoven that I felt summed it up. "I have never thought of writing for reputation and honor. What I have in my heart must come out; that is the reason why I compose." There has been a lot in my heart this last week and it needed to come out, hopefully it's done.
But, moving on to the good news, IT'S FEBRUARY!!!!!! Which means it is no longer January!!!! There are honestly very few things in this life that I dislike more than January. Seriously. January is awful!! But, it is gone for another 11 months, and I am so happy. I stared out my window last night while laying in my bed and there were 3 stars twinkling down at me. You don't typically see stars in January in Utah, because of the nasty face inversions. But they are pretty much gone. It is a cold, dreary month and seems to always just drag on and on and on. As I told Katie, The only good things about January are the start of American Idol, (yes I am an addict) and the best snow for boarding on doesn't typically come around til after December. But those are the only good things.
February is looking to be a great month. It's a short one putting spring that much closer, I will get a road trip to St. George with my family (more to come later), ward talent show (always promising), one month closer to having another semester done, the days continue getting longer, etc. I was honestly shrieking with joy earlier today because I was so excited at the thought of February.
I would classify this as "dreamy". It looks so wonderful.
P.S. That is not me, not even close, hahaha!!

you're not the only one who hates january . . . and did you know that the folks at MIT also hate it so much that they don't hold school during most of January as the suicide rate was WAY too high.
That was meant to cheer you up . . . I hope it worked.
